Terms of use
Last updated October 30, 2026.
These terms apply to your use of SectorNews (sector.news), run by Sector Specific Media Ltd. ("we"). By using SectorNews you agree to them.
What SectorNews is
SectorNews curates industry news about tourism, hospitality and financial services in The Bahamas from other publishers and official sources, and publishes its own videos on SectorTV. For each story we show the headline, a short summary, a "Why it matters" note and, where allowed, a credited image, and we link to the original publisher for the full story.
AI-assisted summaries
Our summaries and "Why it matters" notes are written with the help of AI and checked automatically against the original; our editors review stories the checks flag. They can still contain errors or omissions. The original article is the authoritative version. Don't rely on SectorNews alone for decisions that matter.
Not advice
Nothing on SectorNews is investment, financial, legal, tax or other professional advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
Publishers' content
Headlines, articles, images and trademarks belong to their publishers and owners. Linking to or summarising a story doesn't mean the publisher endorses SectorNews. Publishers can ask us to correct or remove anything by emailing editor@sector.news, and we'll respond promptly.
Our content
Our summaries, "Why it matters" notes, SectorTV videos and the design of the site belong to Sector Specific Media Ltd. You may share links to our stories and videos. Don't copy, republish or systematically collect our content, for example by scraping, without written permission.
Accounts and Sector Roundup
Accounts are free. You need a working email address, and you're responsible for keeping access to it secure, because sign-in links are sent there. Sector Roundup is an optional weekday email; turn it off on your account page or with the unsubscribe link in any Roundup email. You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the service.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse SectorNews: for example, don't try to disrupt it, get around its limits, access it with automated tools beyond ordinary search engine indexing, or use it to break the law.
Availability and liability
SectorNews is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available but don't guarantee that it will be error-free, complete or uninterrupted, and we may change or discontinue features. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from your use of SectorNews or reliance on its content.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and disputes go to the courts of The Bahamas.
